Even though Austin’s South By Southwest was recently called “The Game Changer For Millennials”, the festival is more of a week-long bender for 20-somethings that are a little too infatuated with live music. Sure, there’s the flashes of networking garbage but for every business card, there’s a surprise set from OVO Sound, a few breakout stars (Gallant, Julien Baker), another late night bridge show, a Young Thug funeral procession, a thousand hot takes on The Life Of Pablo, and an offbeat mom-and-pop shop that will make you want to reevaluate your life goals. It’s a tall order, especially when you encounter a tornado warning, but luckily our team of photographers — Marie Rupolo, Seita Goto, and Julia Marcello — went all in and decided to shoot everything. With that, here is a brand new People And Things gallery that provides a different look at what went down in Austin last month.
