Photos: Jacques Greene at The Velvet Underground

Here’s a small factoid for you: JACQUES GREENE is super underrated. The Montrealer has become a TED Talk on how to use bits of minimalist house and R&B to puncture your lungs with euphoria, and it’s why his recent set at Toronto’s Velvet Underground (April 15th) was the complete opposite of a letdown. Following SUICIDEYEAR’s elastic trap out, Greene cued up Feel Infinite and took the red pill — breezing through “True”, “To Say”, “Dundas Collapse”, a warped edit of Frank Ocean’s “White Ferrari”, and some serious R. meets Mezzanine vibes. If anything, Greene deserves his own warehouse project and for proof, check out our photo gallery above (via Maggie Elizabeth).
