Listen: Florist – “What I Wanted To Hold”

Brooklyn-based outfit FLORIST have a new sophomore record on the way and today they have shared “What I Wanted To Hold” — a minimal yet magnetic polaroid of synth folk. As Emily Sprague noted to The FADER, the song is “a contemplative journey, mostly about impermanence” but one that also deals with “the melancholy of remembering and the little associations (colors) that we make to people and places, to hold onto these things that are either already gone, nearing an end, or just beginning”.
