For what it’s worth, FLYING LOTUS is a goddamn genius. It’s a factoid that has always been overshadowed by his rare sense of imagination (think Bob Ross meets Death Note and the Miiverse) but it was definitely on display during his recent return to Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall (Nov. 10th). The follow-up to his 2014 set was a full on “Live In 3D” affair that featured custom glasses, grooves from SEVEN DAVIS JR, and interplanetary visuals that surfed through fragments of You’re Dead!, Cosmogramma, and bits of Brainfeeder fodder. In other words, it was an immersive trip that pointed out why FlyLo deserves his own weekend festival in the woods. Check out our live gallery above via Maggie Elizabeth.
