Do yourself a favour and follow Luminelle Recordings. The new record label has been on a roll and it was obvious at CMW Week as Heavy Trip and Gorilla vs. Bear’s party at The Baby G (May 11th) was a vivid spiral into indie’s full on obsession with psych pop. Montreal labelmates ANEMONE and HELENA DELAND were all sorts of wonderful — drawing up feelings with “Endless Dive” and “Take It All” — while Toronto familiar MOON KING lunged into a few loosies (see “Apartment Fire”) and soared into space.
