In a way, The Opera House has become a haven for the hardcore in 2012 and the mosh-fest that took place at the Toronto venue on just another Friday night was a fresh rip of adrenaline. Whereas Halifax six-piece A SIGHT FOR SEWN EYES and prog metal locals STRUCTURES felt right at home, their combination of pulsating vocals and skin-gnawing tempos felt mature and fully formed. And it wasn’t difficult to become transfixed by the night’s headlining act. ARCHITECTS’ smothering presence tore at heartstrings and memories and from an attentive standpoint, as fans plunged into wholesome chaos in the background, it became clear taste of razor sharp bliss.
