It’s never too early in the year for a punk/hardcore/moody-meets-dreamy alt show, especially if it happens to be on a Monday night and at a 600-capacity venue with no barricade. TOUCHÉ AMORÉ and MEWITHOUTYOU’s joint tour hit Toronto earlier this week (February 24th) and took place in front of a packed house at The Mod Club in Little Italy. As expected, every single act on the bill went for the jugular. Nevada’s CARAVELS ripped holes in hearts with layered out screamo/post-rock; SEAHAVEN made us miss Ghost and Winter Forever; and the night’s co-headliners created a long list of reasons as to why their discogs should be enshrined when it’s all said and done. The latter part could be said about a lot of bands but there aren’t many who can expose you to new vices and violently shake your senses while you’re wading a pit.
