Though Toronto’s Canadian Music Week kicked things off on the weekend, OF MONSTERS AND MEN’s gig on Monday night (May 4th) felt like an official introduction. The Icelandic folk rockers brought their world tour to Massey Hall and launched into a heady set that emphasized their debut My Head Is An Animal and previewed a new disc that’s been called “darker”, “heavier”, and “a bit more open”. There was definitely a bit of magic in the air during their performance – especially when “Dirty Paws” is followed by “Little Talks” – and you’ll be able to notice it in Hannah Jor’s gallery above.
