This past Saturday (Dec. 9th), THE NATIONAL took their world tour to Toronto’s Sony Centre For The Performing Arts and put on the performance of a lifetime. The Ohio fivesome buzz-sawed their way through High Violet, Sleep Well Beast, Trouble Will Find Me, and heartaches such as “Dark Side Of The Gym” and Leonard Cohen’s “Memories”, but the way in which they did it was downright intoxicating. The lights, the visuals, the way Matt Berninger’s voice swooned — it all added up to a definitive set that made time stand still (for a while). Check out our photo recap above via Wendy Wei.
