TOOL
JOHN LABATT CENTRE, LONDON ON / JAN. 26TH
There are few bands that have a lasting power to attract everyone involved in the music community. Springsteen has his desperate housewives and Neil Young has his admirers of classic rock but California prog metal act TOOL are a group who are one of the few and fortunate with fans from all spectrums. Their recent stop at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario proved this, with everyone out of their seat, enjoying every solid minute of art rock poetry in recordings like “Jambi”, “Schism” and “Lateralus”. While the songs ripped into eardrums and heart valves, the band was on cue underneath the cover of darkness with Maynard James Keenan naturally orchestrating at the back and the other three quarters of the project inflicting thick, crisp arrangements into the open sea of faces in front.
