TRUST
LEE’S PALACE, TORONTO / FEBRUARY 22ND
On Friday, the cool folks at Embrace Presents organized a few opportunities to take in powerful vocalists and TRUST’s set at Lee’s Palace was a clear highlight. The Arts & Crafts outfit remodeled the concept of a small gig, making use of strobes, smoke and electronic experimentation that’s sharp enough for you to carve what you feel like consuming. Singer Robert Alfons felt like a man wading in his own reality but his gravelly croon was gentle and damaging, throwing down an illicit version of goth-like alternative that embraced the soulful side to pop music.
