A friendly face and a courageous creative type, LISTENER’s Dan Smith returned to Toronto with a set at the Silver Dollar Room in support of the Arkansas trio’s adventurous fourth album, Time Is A Machine. Spoken word projects are often dismissed to be synonymous with a time capsule but Smith, guitarist Christin Nelson and drummer Kris Rochelle convert it into an art form, overrun with passion, hard work and shades of alternative.
