In support of his new record, JAY Z was spotted doing a performance art piece at NYC’s Pace Gallery last month, and because it’s Jigga, it featured him performing “Picasso Baby” for six hours. Luckily, his crew decided to film the whole thing as it was shot in front of a limited audience that included visual luminaries Lawrence Weiner and Marina Abramovic, artists such as Wale, and even a few cast favourites from HBO’s “Girls”. The Timbaland-produced single is a form of tasteful chaos but you have to give it up to Jay for reaching out to listeners. It’s what makes this venture more compelling than hipster-fied, especially when city folk get their own candid moments. Watch the video below.
