Though Aaron Weiss has noted it can be hard to write the first line of a song, it’s hard to knock him as a composer. Weiss and the rest of MEWITHOUTYOU returned to Toronto’s Lee’s Palace this past Thursday (August 22nd) and played a prodigious set, separating sounds from reality and almost reconstructing the atmosphere to their albums Ten Stories and Brother, Sister. Compared to other venues the group have visited north of the border, Lee’s catered to the band’s mesmeric honesty and accentuated every note. Brooklyn’s A GREAT BIG PILE OF LEAVES also provided support with a handful of genuine rock tunes, so raid their Bandcamp and check out our photos below.
