Going Live: AFI, PUP

AFI-1With what seems like a whole new identity, Cali’s AFI stopped by Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre on Friday (January 31st) in support of their “shamefully honest” new album Burials. Along with getting into choice cuts such as “17 Crimes”, “Heart Stops”, and “I Hope You Suffer”, the four-piece dug up Sing The Sorrow and The Art Of Drowning, resurrecting memories with Davey Havok’s pacing strides and the kind of stage presence that turns big names into icons. The group even opened with the popular “The Leaving Song Pt. II” but it was not until Toronto’s PUP filled in for Youth Code and gave onlookers a thousand reasons to wrestle with their screwdriver-to-the-face debut. They’re releasing a new LP via SideOneDummy this spring so go nuts to “Reservoir” and check out our galleries below.

AFI’s Gil-Norton produced Burials is available now on iTunes and Insound via Universal/Republic Records
