Aside from being a Northside must-see and a show you could take your parents to, PUSHA T and VINCE STAPLES‘ House Of Vans showcase in Brooklyn was a win for rap music. Not just for the Internet blogs or those that still own Rapmasters cassettes, but for everything the genre is in 2015. Vans’ latest Almost Summer entry saw the two emcees step up when it mattered, as Staples rattled off “Blue Suede” and glimpses of Summertime ’06 while Push swerved through a greatest hits medley of sorts (“Blocka”, “Numbers On The Board”) only to subconsciously remind everyone that King Push is imminent.
