Sundays can be a tricky thing when it comes to festivals. In most cases, they’re the calm after the initial climax, but with RIOT FEST TORONTO, it’s the hook that comes right off the jab. This year’s edition at Downsview Park continued with that particular approach as Sunday’s (September 20th) genre-bridging lineup featured names such as RANCID, THE PRODIGY, WU-TANG CLAN, TYLER THE CREATOR, JAZZ CARTIER, ANDREW W.K., LIKE PACIFIC, BLEACHERS, and THE JOY FORMIDABLE. WEEZER also anchored with The Blue Album and if we’re being completely honest, it sort of underlined Riot Fest’s ability to throw you into moments that you will remember for the rest of your life.
