NOTES: Indie rock may keep the pockets of worn-out jeans a little empty but it’s never exhausted of sincerity or the old-tradition of being addictively confessional. Brooklyn jam poppers Fort Lean certify that credibility with an array of atypical material recordings which at various times can explode with colour, get lovesick with a jarring amount of blues and when you least expect it, come clean with Keenan Mitchell’s spine-tapping voice. With Charlift’s Patrick Wimberley producing their upcoming extended play, the quintet are behind a sound that’s more fierce than posh.
